Spring Program This photo is from the event "Wine tasting" that takes place on "Wednesday - Food preservation & wine", during one of the programs of Agrion Terra Farm, in Crete. Description of event The life of Wine. We visit Andreas Dourakis and taste his wine, one of the best on Crete. He will tell us all the small secrets of wine making!!
Andreas was a principal winemaker for a major Greek winery, Tzantalis, for 20 years before realizing his dream of opening his own boutique winery in Crete. Andreas’ passion for winemaking shows in every glass we savor. He also creates a superb balance between indigenous grape varieties and more popular international varieties, most of which are organically cultivated. His “wine made by God,” is subliminal but it’s not for sale. We enjoy his wines with meze. The family also makes their own cheese, yogurt, breads and olive oil.
