Spring Program This photo is from the event "Free time, or tailor made optional activities." that takes place on "Wednesday - Food preservation & wine", during one of the programs of Agrion Terra Farm, in Crete. Above photo: Knossos is a must! We visit the place and get to know the connection between modern culinary habits and ancient food techniques. Description of event The time has come to go to Knossos. Either joining Agrion Terra, or on your own, you would not miss a visit to this place. Being there is like moving in time to ancient Crete. Knossos was constructed in about 1900 BC and
represents the center of our world’s first culturally advanced civilization. The Minoans were skilled farmers, merchants, exporters and artists, among many more traits that set them apart from neighboring ancient civilizations. Their respect for nature and love of food, wine and the arts is depicted in intricate and whimsical designs on frescoes, walkways and amphorae.
